What is RD Service (Registered Device)?
RD = Registered Device. It ensures that biometric devices are uniquely registered and authorized by UIDAI before Aadhaar authentication or eKYC operations.
Only RD-enabled devices can perform secure Aadhaar-based authentication.
RD service must be renewed periodically (usually yearly) for continued operation.
Morpho RD Service can be renewed online for 1 year or 3 years.
